A Capped rate mortgage is a variable rate mortgage with a difference.

Your mortgage rate still goes up and down, but you have the comfort of knowing than when the rate goes up it will not go over a certain figure. This is known as the "capped-rate" Sometimes, the rate cannot fall below a minimum level, this is known as the "collar"

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

For mortgage advice you can choose how we are paid: pay a fee, usually 1% of the loan amount or we can accept commission from the lender
